Mosquitos are a problem but it's the green head flies that will really get you.

The green heads are traditionally at their worse from the full moon in July until the full moon in August. The notion is that the high tides associated with the full moon will wash away the fly eggs in the marsh.

Make sure whatever house you select has a screened in porch.

I hate the green heads. They have to be one of the worst fly bites around. The suckers hurt like hell, draw blood and leave a huge welt.
