I've lived here my whole life....nice city especially east lynn. Now, the only decent area is up towards Lynnfield. Don't move here...I want to leave but can't afford it. It's actually really sad what this city has come to...and yes it is culturally diverse if you call Puerto Rican, Dominican and South American diverse. The schools are bad and this is going back 10 years...my kids both had trouble in the three schools they went to. I had to take my daughter out of two and my son was homeschooled. Don't come here to raise a family.

I live in Lynn and yes it is culturally diverse. We do not deserve the reputation that is put out in the media. Before you jump to conclusions you should take the time and actually visit Lynn... OPEN MINDED, you might actually like it. I will be forever proud to come from Lynn.

Parts of Lynn aren't that bad at all. The bit by the coast actually seems pretty decent. I often go to Lynn for Latin American products & meats. I would say Lynn is very culturally diverse, but not somewhere I'd necessarily live. Swampscott is right next door, yet a world apart in many ways. Both are on the commuter rail (Newburyport/Rockport line) to Boston.
