I've been searching for a few months and I'm torn.

I'm looking for a rental to live (and work) in before buying a single family home with my partner. We've settled on Howard County but we're having difficulty finding the right rental.

Here's the problem. We both work remotely, from home. One of our requirements is three bedroom minimum (two for an office and one for ourselves). Guest space isn't critical. Unfortunately, I've only come across one or two communities that meet these needs.

Budget: Nice size. We're around $300k collectively.

Local: Somewhere with trees, walkability, and access to services and stores. Not exactly the "sticks" but not right smack in the middle of night life central.

Type: If it matters, we're Caribbean folk born and raised in NY. Hope that helps.

No kids, no pets (yet). Simply looking for a place with amenities for us to build upon.

Any recommendations?

I used to live in Columbia, and it was designed to be walkable and have retail located close by. There is a selection of rental townhouses listed on Realtor, from $2200 to $3200 per month. I think some of these will meet your needs. Most are 3-bedroom, and some have basements.
