The Talbot Boys statue is to be removed from the Courthouse and sent to the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation in Harrisonburg Va, maybe.
There is confusion about whether SVBF/Harrisonburg will accept it.
The vote was 3/2. Welcome to the 20th century...

What's the next bit of history you want to erase?

We have a WW I statue here in Prince Frederick with two columns of names. One who knows what they're looking at knows what those columns mean. It's already been altered once. Should it go?

Are the two columns the white and black troops?

Yep. But you're from Maryland so know about these monuments. The delineation is gone and the word wasn't black.

What's your issue with WWI?

That one went right over your head.

Ask Mid-Valley Dad, or rather read his post and my response.

It didn't go over my head but I still reject your attempt at such a twisted comparison.
(hint: the topic remains glorifying the confederacy ... not.)

Don't usually care what you think.

And my question remains: that Prince Frederick statue is racially suspect. Because of that should it be taken down, thereby erasing a bit of pertinent history?

Like I've said before, as a retired US HISTORY teacher, when do we stop?

Don't believe it went over my head at all. When you said two columns it seemed obvious to me.
To answer your first question, I see no reason to remove the Prince Frederick statue.
Now, can you answer mine? What's your issue with WWI, and/or the WW1 statue?

Oh bull****, you had no clue what it meant and I still think you don't.

I have no issue with either WWI or the statue.

And answer my question-what's the next bit of history you'll want to erase/remove/hide? Jefferson-Patterson Park? Savage? Some 30 ton boulder on a college campus? Oh wait, that just happened. Pt. Lookout?
