Hello, all! I am helping a friend out we have a non-profit car club. I am trying to find sites where we can find ongoing volunteers for events. In a few months, we have a military fundraiser event. That's the main one we need help with the most. However, we are having an event in a week. Last week it was pretty crazy so we are in need of help. As stated we are a non-profit in Maryland. The people we would need per event would up to 6 people. The sites I found so far are volunteermd.org & volunteermd.org

Any other sites or information would be greatly appreciated. If you would like more info on our non-profit here is our website.
https://ambitiouswhips.org/

Thank you.

One would think that if your car club is sponsoring the event that the members would be the volunteers.

Now, having said the above, I've found over the last almost 40 years that Marylanders talk a good game about "volunteering" but when the time comes to do it they're always "busy". Most of them just want their name on some sort of plaque/program to show what good people they are.

I'll agree with NBP that your club should provide volunteers for an event it is running.

I'll disagree with some of his second statement. At least in our town we have active groups of volunteers that do all sorts of wonderful things from running and stocking food banks to having a system where people without transportation can get rides to medical appointments and such. But we also have some people that talk a big game about things that 'Someone Should Do' but are always too busy to be actively involved and help the project to completion.

Most of the people that are willing to volunteer are already active in the first group.

I thought I added this in but I guess I forgot but sadly. They have full-time jobs so they can't make most events. In addition, we are in the process of transitioning from a club to a brand and will no longer have members.

From a club to a brand? And your members have full time jobs so they can't make events? Then what is the purpose of sponsoring events? What is the purpose of becoming a brand? Without a lot more explanation it sounds like someone is building a product and looking for free effort from others to create good will in the community for that product. If you are 'building a brand' that falls under marketing and becomes a business expense.

And your point? They have nothing to do with his non-profit. They are completely different.

We are not sponsoring events. We hold events and raise money for causes via donations. Or anytime some buys merchandise. It's a non-profit brand. We need help with events. Not the brand.
