Hi I'm a single mom of 2 young boys and I'm thinking about moving back to Maryland and am looking for a safe, kid friendly neighborhood with good schools and daycares. I'll be commuting to the Metro area so looking for a place near, preferably an hr or less. I grew up in the North Bethesda area but there is too much traffic nowadays. I'm looking to rent a place for up to $1400. I visited Urbana and really liked the area but rent is high. I'd really appreciate some feed back as to good places to live in.

As a single mom myself.....I find Carroll County to be a very nice place to live. Mount Airy....Eldersburg...Skyesville. All close to Route 70 which can get you to 270 or 95 quickly. There are some nice areas in Frederick County as well. You may need to move further out (Carroll or Frederick) to get the rent you're looking for. Wishing you the best.....
