Maines BEP has decided against Jack Boot Janet's EV mandate.

I have nothing against EV's but I'm definitely against forcing anything down the taxpayers throat.

Let the consumer/market decide not dictator wannabees.

I have never paid close attention to who gets appointed to serve on these committees.

Reading the article it listed who voted which way, and I am shocked that I know two of those people.

Apparently that is not a problem for those mandating EVs.

Foolish from the perspective of reality, countered by progress based on ideology.

Reality is the litmus test for ideology. EV mandate failed!

If this had passed, could Maine citizens against this had collected signatures to force a referendum for this law on the ballot? A la like how California allows citizens to collect signatures on recent laws that passed, that people might opposed. Good to see this didn't pass, since I don't think this should've become a future law.

That's where my opinion is too. EV's are fine, mandates are not.

Plus, simply switching from overconsumption on one resource to another just shifts a problem, doesn't address it at all.
