An actual fact.

I left Louisiana (Westbank New Orleans) for Cali in 2016. HUGE MISTAKE!! We endured the ridiculously high rent, slimy fake people, and soul-crushing traffic for all of 7 months and couldn't wait to get out.

I think a better state to live in instead of Louisiana would be like Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine!!
Those things sort of go together
Having said that I remember the New Orleans of my childhood loved it

It's not really growing that fast either. The state is having a brain drain of young minds, leaving behind the ones that have made it what it now. Young people don't like a state like Louisiana and its plain as day when most of them I know have relocated to Dallas and points away from here.

If you hate it so much then move away.

I don't hate the state. That is not what I said in the post. But when fish begin to rot, everybody can smell it.
Apparently you don't like here yourself as what you said in the post you made tonight. So I would refrain from calling anyone down about disliking or disparaging the state if I were you.

I love New Orleans though. I had a blast (pre Covid visit). There's nothing like it.

Yep, I'm out. Spent time here and decided it's not for me. I don't hate it here, it's just not for me and not where I want to spend the rest of my life.
