So I left the area already, but I'm willing to give someone a little money if they stumble upon one and send me one

Did you ever get one???
I'm in Lafayette and my son is starting a postcard collection, so we'll be on the look out. I can't believe it's that hard to find one! I'll be at Vermillionville next week...

Hi! For Baton arouse post cards go to the old capital in Baton Rouge (down town evangeline exit on I-110) they may even have Lafayette ones. Also, check the a time shops they have some really intereting, obscure ones! Good luck!

Nope, never found one and haven't been back to Louisiana since. I did find post cards for Baton Rouge and New Orleans later in that trip. Another city i ended up not finding one for on that trip was Jackson, MS

Is it totally cheating to get one off Ebay? Because they do exist.
My favorite souvenir from my last trip were two postcards of a road that is now a freeway with 1940 cars (2) going around the bend. Now it's four lanes.

This would be my guess too. Any location where there is tourist information available ought to have such postcards.
