Has anyone attending this school or know someone that has? We are looking for first-hand information and referrals. Also if anyone is in the makeup artist industry in LA how do you break into the business? Is there a trade publication listing work and opportunities? Word of mouth?

total rip off!!!
DO NOT GO TO JOE BLASCO IN HOLLYWOOD!!! My daughter just graduated and it was a total rip off!!! There were so many different teachers due to their personal problems that nothing was consistent. Joe BLasco, himself, never even make an appearance. But, as we see from the internet, he spend plenty of time at the Florida school. The teaching/learning is a total joke. We spent over $17000.00 on tuition, that we'll be paying off for the next 5 years, then the kit was $3050.00 that you must pay upfront. This kit is literally worth $150.00. Such a joke and rip off. If I can save anyone from making the horrible mistake and give that school money, I will feel a bit better. DO NOT GO THERE!! TRUST ME!! YOU"LL LEARN NOTHING AND THEY WILL JUST RIP YOU OFF!!

you spent over $17k for a MAKE UP ONLY school..........wow that is a total rip off. I am looking into cosmetology schools were I get licenced to do hair, nails and facials and its a 1600 hour course and there are schools that charge way way under what you paid some even under $4k...
