Ed Mojica Installations in Farmingdale. I have used them a few times for repairs and new installations.
TBH, a spring replacement is a DYI job, pretty straightforward.
just wondering if there are any recommendations for someone to perform spring replacement on a garage door.
Thanks
Provided you select the proper sized spring (perhaps by safely detaching and bringing in the old spring to a Home Depot or local hardware store), this is a doable job for a reasonably handy and careful person. Obviously, replace both springs. About 30-ish dollars for a pair.

Labor/housecall is VERY costly nowadays.
Just make sure there is a cable running through the springs before and after replacement. Lots of tension on those springs, the cable will ensure that if the spring was to snap it stays contained.
When a spring broke on my garage door I just googled garage door repair and called the first place near me. I don't remember the name but it was an Israeli guy and he came two hours later. It was a Sunday and he didn't charge extra for being a non-business day.
As far as it being a DIY job, you have to know what you are doing as the springs are under high tension and you wouldn't want to have it smack you in the face if you do it wrong.
