Anyone do a major kitchen renovation recently ? Looking for a company that covers Eastern Nassau/western suffolk area. We spoke to one popular company and taking a wall down (putting in a steel i beam) and not moving much but Replacing plumbing and re/finishing my first floor (sheet rock/floors/ baseboard they wanted 210k without appliances included.
I could dormer my house for that. We have a few more companies coming. Just trying to see if there’s anyone I should look at.
I strongly recommend Joe. He did my kitchen $45k project and the quality of work was astounding. He worked with me on every aspect of the project and charged a fair price. Please go and see him for your project.

Did you try Allure? They have a 10 day kitchen renovation. They did my bathroom in 2008 and that was 16K.
Not sure what they charge for kitchens now. 210K sounds outrageous to me.
I found this one online and they say their kitchens are made in the USA https://www.wrenkitchens.com/us/?gad...BoCHowQAvD_BwE
Thanks for recommendations. I had allure come by 5 years ago and they wanted a crazy amount for a bathroom (more than other known companies). I’d expect them to be at 200k so I didn’t want to waste my/or their time. But I might try them again at this point. Willing to pay a premium for this all to go smooth. I’m a realistic person but as others and some here say 200k was in my opinion a disgusting amount lol.
They are a joke, wanted 65k in 2017 to do my kitchen. Did it for 30k w/ better cabinets and more expensive stone.
Where did you get your cabinets if you don’t mind me asking ? Did you do 3/4 inch box or 1/2 inch ? That’s another dilemma I have to work out.
The 200k quote was for 1/2 inch cabinets on top of that. They said once it’s all together and with the new ways they make it it’s totally fine. But i haven’t really seen much to back up that statement.

I don’t remember size as we sold the house. We got them at LI laminates in hauppauge it’s a massive warehouse. I think going nuts with cabinets and the prices makes no sense. Do they have a plywood backing and dovetail drawers if so they are fine. Mdf middle is ok also, we have had birch and maple, no issues with either. Stepping up to oak etc is just a waste of $$ to me. If your staining or painting them what’s the point your can’t see the grain anyway. As long as there is no partical board and if it has mdf it’s only the center panel on shakers and rest is plywood they are good to go.
When I was looking, someone highly recommended AGP kitchen and Bath in Seaford. I haven't had the opportunity to check them out yet.
