Hello, I’m considering a rear addition in Long Island (TOB) (14x28) on first floor (relocating kitchen and bathroom) and adding a new bath above the new addition on second floor and connecting it with the master bedroom (14x10). There is already plumbing upstairs. Two questions:

How much would electric rough-in and plumbing rough-in cost for something like this?

Regarding foundation, how much extra can it cast to add a basement foundation for the addition instead of slab or crawl space?

Is that Town of Oyster Bay or Town of Babylon?

If your adding all this I assume you’ll have a general contractor? Did they give you a price for the electrical and plumbing? I can see them hitting you 5k for plumbing very easily and 3k for electrical unfortunately.

If your looking to save money I can see out sourcing the electrical. Plumbing id leave on the general contractor so if something goes wrong he can’t blame your worker.

I’m looking to relocate my kitchen to the back of the house sometime this year and re do my first floor and take down all the walls. Not going to be fun for the wallet.

He was asking for the plumbing and the electrical I think. 100k would be a steal. Nicer large Kitchens are running 80k plus. Between the extension and slab and adding a bathroom. I’m guessing minimum 150k probably 200k (because of a kitchen and a bathroom that are brand new )
