I figured I'd give it a look to see if Verizon FiOS internet and tv was available yet. The website is a misleading piece of crooked misleading garbage. It says its available but it turns out it really isn't. FIOS which stands for fiber optics is not available. The only thing available is slow wireless.

They said years ago that Fios will never be expanding to Brookhaven. Optimum is it.

Yes I was hoping it might change soon before I get out of NY or maybe with Suffolk regime change.

Last Summer, Verizon was running underground cables in our community (Holtsville) so I am hopeful.

It has nothing to do with the regime change. Romaine held a rally to get Verizon to wire Brookhaven telling them they have the go ahead and Verizon said no too expensive.

The good news is Altice has been wiring up their Fiber. If you switch over they will consider you new and you can get a 2 year promotion

It is being built out as we speak. It's a slow build though, and internet/phone only. Patchogue is 80% done. And btw, Alice fiber is junk. I have friends that switched, and it's terrible.

This isnt for FIOS TV.... this is just verizon updating the communicaton lines. there are NO plans for FIOS expansion anywhere in the country it already isnt. Verizon has said this.

Yep I did some quick research, although they did some line updates around patchougue and that started rumors, there are zero plans to bring Fios TV to Brookhaven.
