Not looking to get buff or anything. Mostly to simply keep my weight down and tone up. Since both of these gyms would suit me fine, I am more concerned about which locations are good or not. Mostly concerned about cleanliness. Any input for or against either. I may go with PF because they are 24/7 and I may need to go after or before hours at times. Thanks.

I go to Blink in Farmingdale. I primarily go for lifting weights, etc, but by no means big or an advanced lifter. For someone who is looking to stay in shape/ get in a bit better shape I do think it is pretty good, versatile and is always pretty clean.

What type of hours do you think you would be working out? Blink does close early (at least the one I go to) on Weekends 7PM (Sat & Sunday), but is open 4:30-11:00 Mon-Thurs and 4:30-10:00 on Friday. Now if you want to work out at night on the weekend or overnights during the week the hours could be tough, but outside of that shouldn't be an issue.

I would most likely go during normal hours but maybe later than Blinks hours on weekends. I live right near the one on Main St in Farmingdale but I would prefer to not run into anyone I know, so I will probably go to Melville. Thanks for the reply. I was trying to avoid any place that was ratty looking.

I go to PF in Melville. Currently under renovation (new bathrooms and showers). Can't beat the $10 a month membership for PF. The place is clean and isn't crowded when i go (8am -9am).

PF doesn't operation 24/7 all time. They close at 7PM on Sat/Sun and 9PM or 10PM on Fridays.

I use to go to the Planet Fitness on S Broadway in Hicksville. They closed and remodeled it so it would be the newest one in NY I think.

Moved before seeing the renovations but I'd check it out.

Go with the $25 a month PF membership. You can go to anyone nationwide and bring anyone with you.

Carle Place is 24/7, 7 days a week. Depends on location.

My friend went there yesterday and say it sucks. Very tight configuration of the machines.

Nearly every location seems to be 24/7.
