Hello. To make a long story short I’m going to be getting DSS and SNAP food stamps soon. I wanted to know if there is a limit I can make per month/ year on the side so I won’t be cut off of DSS?
How about you make as much money as you can so you don't need government assistance. The goal here in life is to be self-sustaining and not living off the public.

if you truly need it, then you will find out. Otherwise, your question sounds like another way to play the system and make just under the threshold amount so your benefits are not affected. But that in itself is dishonest and abusing a system designed for those in real need. If you can make more than the threshold, then you should and you should have to forfeit the difference. This country needs to turn the spigot off completely and you will see how able everyone suddenly is to work. That would solve a lot of our problems. Good luck if you are one of the handful that actually need benefits.
I agree with the other posters if you can work on the side then you can work a full time job. Sounds to me like pure laziness and that you would rather live off the system then actually get a real job with benefits so you don't have to live off DSS and Snap. I see so many people with signs out there saying they lost their job, need money for food and rent and have 2 kids. I am not saying that's what you are doing. but all that time and energy standing outside begging for money which is what these types of people do could be better spent finding a job. they do it by the Walmart in Farmingdale. Instead go in there and fill out an application? I read in another thread that the OP moved to San Diego in 2017 and is a free lance web designer. what happened with that?
You can make money but the limit is not that high. You have to show pay stubs and bank account statements . Dss has a fraud investigations unit that goes beyond what is done by the dss examiner when you apply
