T20 Cricket World Cup hosted by US and West Indies features Eisenhower Park as venue.

If India play there, a sell out should happen setting a team sport attendance record for Nassau County and a US record for cricket attendance.

T20 is an abbreviated form of the game with matches lasting 2-3 hours.

I work with a lot of Indians and Pakistanis and the longest discussion I ever heard was when I asked "What are the rules of Cricket?".

I used to travel quite a bit overseas for work and I remember trying in vain and failing miserably to understand that game lol.

you could run shuttles from Nassau Coliseum but even that won't be enough to handle the cars that would come with 34,000 people.

This was originally proposed for Van Cortlandt park in the Bronx where you'd at least have access to subways.

Nassau Coliseum and its thousands of parking spots are located 1 mile - a 20 minute walk - from Eisenhower Park.

Keep in mind, 34,000 are showing up if India are in the stadium. More than 90,000 appeared to see India play a game at the last T20 tournament in Australia. Attendance will be light when Zimbabwe plays Afghanistan.

You realize there are no sidewalks from the Coliseum to Eisenhower Park.

34,000 is lot more than the coliseum ever held (more than double or so).
Westbury LIRR stop is not far but it's not convenient either.
This could get ugly.

My concern is about what happens after. Is this a real temporary Stadium, where the organization will pack up and restore the park, or will the county be on the hook to maintain this structure and then try to fill it with events from now until the end of time?

This statement is false. A bicycle and pedestrian path runs parallel to Hempstead Turnpike and connects the Coliseum to Eisenhower Park.

In 2019, nearby Bethpage State Park accommodated crowds larger than 34,000 for the PGA Championship. Bethpage State Park does not have parking comparable to what Eisenhower Park and Nassau Coliseum offer.
