Floral Park-Bellerose and Northport-East Northport have nearly identical income and parent education demographics. The only difference is FPB is 31% Asian and Hispanic while NEN is 10%.

Long Island school districts must make themselves appealing to the people buying homes in Long Island if the want to maintain enrollment and avoidant closing schools.
Didn't want to go there, but since you did.....

Post WWII it was influx of Irish, Italian and German families (you can add Jewish to that list) that spurred huge growth in suburbs of LI. Now it's blacks, Asians and Hispanics, something not everyone is on board with but never the less is happening. Not just on LI but NJ, and Westchester as well.

Hochul should consider purchasing these buildings to house the illegals that Gov Abbott is busing to NY.

Yes. And those populations (with the exception of certain Asian groups) are not moving to places like Northport.
The young couples who do settle in Northport and like environs are paying through the nose for houses. They also want to take vacations, join country clubs or yacht clubs, eat out, furnish their houses nicely, drive decent cars, entertain well, and hire service providers like landscapers, window washers, and house cleaners. All of that costs a great deal of money. Most don’t have all that much left to raise multiple kids, who will also require things like camps, electronics, tutors, etc. Long gone are the days when suburban communities everywhere were teeming with families with 5, 6 or more kids. Nobody can afford it, and there aren’t enough bodies left to fill schools built in earlier decades.

Section 8 housing coming in hot. If you don't like it, you're just a racist Nazi.

That's the playbook. Book it done.

Quite honestly that's true across the board really. Not just in USA but across western Europe birth rates for whites are in decline or falling off cliffs. People, especially women, aren't interested in having a passel of kids just because the state or church wants or tells them to do so.. This when many European governments are bending over backwards with all sorts of incentives to get women back into baby making on greater scale.

In USA it's Latino/Hispanics and Asians propping up birth rates. Europe has all those Africans, Muslims and other "migrants" or "immigrants". France is trying it's best to keep a lid and or otherwise in control of things but outcome is clear; nation is hurling towards a huge shift towards vastly multi-cultural society. It sucks for France that that other rising dominate culture is Islam not Catholic or even Protestant.

Here's the USA population pyramid. It is pretty dire.

Take away from above link is what many already know; Latino/Hispanic and Asians are producing more children than whites.

At some point things will go way they are already in Europe and parts of Asia; native born females of childbearing age (for sake of this debate European/White) decline to levels that make it near impossible for that population to remain stable much less grow. At some point "other" populations will simply take over, it's simply a numbers game.

Right now there are more young women and girls of Latino/Hispanic and Asian descent than White/European. That was before Biden began allowing in tens of thousands per month of Latino/Hispanics and Africans who either are bringing passel of children with them, and or having them after arrival.

Number of areas on LI were already approaching majority (or near) status, that is only going to continue and spread. https://www.newsday.com/long-island/...-census-o24711

Asians are a mixed bag, but there two their numbers are growing and likely to spread across Island. Any area with good to excellent local schools is top of their bucket list. That and trophy properties such along LI's famed "gold coast"

Much of these changes in demographics can be directly traced back to that GD Kennedy immigration laws of 1965. That act coupled with basically unchecked illegal immigration from Mexico, South America and Asia have brought US to current situation.

A few scattered observations:

- Hispanics have a higher birth rate before they come here, but after settling down they revert to the white norm. Blacks basically reproduce at replacement rate, which is why they have never exceeded 13% of the population other than via immigration. Planned Parenthood is basically a black abortion factory.
- The entire world outside of Africa is experiencing lower birth rates. Japan is the worst at this, basically committing reproductive suicide, but Europe and even China are not far behind.
- "Affordable housing" isn't necessarily the bad thing that the right thinks it is. The city has had that going for quite some time now, and to qualify for it you need things like passing a background check and having a decent credit score, which excludes the crackheads. Actually it's something of a racket, with "affordable housing" being filled with the children of the real estate developers and politicians who have low income on paper, and high-prestige low-pay jobs like journalists.
- The illegals are getting here mostly on their own, and not due to the Texas governor bussing them here. I believe Texas has bussed 45k total to NYC and DC combined, whereas there are hundreds of thousands of them coming across the border every month. And most of them at this point are not Mexican. Mexico already dumped most of their peasants on us, these people are coming from all over the world.
