Apparently suspect Michael DeAngelo, 32, of Lindenhurst was out of his mind on fentanyl and cocaine when he sped down Sunrise Highway going 120.55 miles per hour.
News 12 reported that he overdosed a few days before and was revived by PD. Keep reviving the drug addicts so they can continue being the ahole they are.
Is it worth using naloxone on these fools? Bankrupting families to send junior to "rehab" to only continue their addiction the moment they leave? The crimes, the accidents they continue to cause makes me question why as a society we are spending money to bring them back.
We’ve got to start giving people two options, jail, or rehab until you’re clean. If you keep failing, jail is the only option. Society can’t permit acceptable drug abuse.
Feel absolutely terrible for the victims and their loved ones. Please consider the policies and agendas when voting. Going down the ticket and shooing in popular talking heads is not doing us any favors on this.
Not a big fan of proposed legislation in the past that limit cars to certain speed but there’s no reason why this car shouldn’t have been limited to let’s say a 100 mph. Who knows if that would have made a difference though.

We as a society (what’s left of one anyway) have generally decided that saving someone’s life is “worth it”, yes. That doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be punishments, however.

Well what punishment will bring back the people this worthless scumbag killed?
Addicts who OD should be left alone. They made a choice. Stop wasting money on rehab "treatments" that more resemble summer camp than anything else. The success rate is abysmal and could never be justified for any other medical treatment.
