Hey all. I put it on my list but know very little about the complex except I will be able to afford an apartment on the low end of pricing. I like that it has a pool and a good work commute. It's for a single middle-aged woman. Any info would be appreciated!!
Apparently on my teacher salary, the realtor I spoke to today made it seem as though unless I paid for the entire apartment in cash, the board would not sell it to me anyway lol.

One of my relatives lives there. Her apartment is a nice size and it's really quiet. The pool is beautiful and maintained well. There's a restaurant, a small grocery store, and a movie theater in the complex. There are families there and older folks. I really like it.
Teachers make decent money in NYC and LI. Why would the board deny you for that??

I am thinking I wont have the assets they want to see. A realtor told me they want a DTI of 28-30%. I also heard that you need the same amount in the bank as what the apartment sells for. I am a relatively new return to NYC schools. I was home many years with my kids.
How old is your family that lives there?
