My above mentioned friend put in a pool and deck that is resort worthy. She researched and consulted as her hubby owned a construction company before his untimely death. He had contacts all over the pool industry because he built homes with pools and she could have put in anything she wanted for a decent price as her job was priced as a contractor to contractor job. She opted for Chlorine as opposed to salt water due to the added issues of corrosion with salt water. For the average Joe, I know saltwater is more expensive too.
Salt water conversion estimate coming tomo. Everyone that I know that has converted says they would never go back to chlorine. Seems like a good time to just get it done.
Can't you use the toilet bowl cleaner tablets? I believe that's also pure chlorine.
Read the ingredients but yes. You can also use liquid bleach in a pinch (it's a little weak compared to pool chlorine though), and baking soda instead of total alkalinity powder/PH+.
You can use PoolClever's 3-inch chlorine tablets, and they have an ample supply. The most affordable 3-inch chlorine tablets are available for just $3 per pound.
