I know no one probably cares but why not. As you can see the in the boundaries in red I've made the Pinelawn hamlet. So as you can see is in Suffolk County, NY in the Town of Babylon (though the very Northernmost part of the hamlet is the Town of Huntington but if I were to create this hamlet then all of it would be in the Town of Babylon). Pinelawn was created from parts of the other hamlets of Melville, Wyandanch, East Farmingdale and West Babylon. As you can tell by the location markers on the map, Pinelawn is mainly composed of cemeteries as I have put all the local cemeteries including L.I. National cemetery and Pinelawn cemetery in Pinelawn. The other parts of Pinelawn are mainly industrial and does include the Town of Babylon landfill. According to my map, I don't see any residental properties or neighborhoods in Pinelawn but please let me know if I'm wrong. I've also gave Pinelawn its own zip code and since this zipcode is not in use I chose 11734. Please let me know if you have any suggestions I can make and if you have any hamlets you would like me to make, please let me know. I thank you for devoting some of your time to read this.

You may have to fight the residents of South Setauket for that zip code.

I think a streetfight between the South Setauket residents and the nonexistent residents of a nonexistent hamlet over a zipcode would be awesome. Albeit a bit one sided.

I also think virtual hamlet creation (VHC) might become quite a hobby/pastime for folks looking for a creative outlet.

The residents of the Pinelawn Hamlet will not put up a fight as they have been know to be very silent.

When I made this map, I don't think I put any residential areas in the map, those buildings you see just south of Beth Moses cemetery are all industrial, therefore nobody lives there. So I think in my made up Pinelawn hamlet there are more dead people than actual people alive in the hamlet but again we don't know if anybody lives in the hamlet so it might only have dead people. As for VHC, I think it is a great hobby and I like I said, I hope to do more soon (who knows West Setauket???)

Well, if it's a Sicilian silence, it's special... Be afraid, be very afraid.

What's the point of a hamlet? Most of the country doesn't have them.
