Shed in Baldwin (exemptions, store, move)

Good evening I wanted to add a shed on my property in Baldwin Long Island NY , what is maximum size it can be without increasing my property tax? Will I need permits to add on this shed? I want a space to store my bikes, gas tanks and some tools. Thanks, any information will be greatly appreciated.

Pretty sure you'll need a permit, with that said... I'm sure you wouldn't be the first to put one up without one... If you decided too anyway.

Shed can be up to 144 sq ft (12 x 12 max dimensions and 9' height) without requiring a variance. Needs to be at least 2 feet from lot lines (unless a corner property in which case it is exactly 2' from lot lines on the interior corner). Technically a permit isn't required if it meets these requirements. I keep hearing that the Town wants to remove these exemptions but that has been going on for 20+ years
