Farmingville today (buying a house, neighborhoods, buying)

Hi all. Looking at buying a house and Farmingville has come up a few times as a more affordable area for the house you get. I realize there are good and bad areas of certain towns. how is the area north of Portion Rd up to the SCCC? The area behind Key Foods? Looks like a nice area but wanted your opinion. From my understanding, things south of Portion/Horseblock can get kind of weird, and Bald Hill is the nicer areas.

Behind key food is a nice neighborhood

Farmingville south of horseblock is kind of dumpy in parts but not dangerous at all and you can find a good deal in that neighborhood.

It's hit or miss.
Gotta scope out the neighborhoods you're looking at. Night and day.
