FYI the Town of Brookhaven in Suffolk County is larger than the state of Rhode Island.... thats right one town is bigger than the smallest state.............. so LI is huge.

It's not that bad. Plus our incomes are higher than most places in the country so it evens out somewhat. Many people live here and make it work just fine.


It's not everyone's cup of tea and it's expensive but it's far from impossible to have a good financial life here.

It may look small on a map but LI is big dude. It would take you 2 weeks to cover suffolk county and a week to 10 days to cover Nassau.

Depends where you are working. Otherwise I would tell you to go as far east as possible. I would say east of manorville is the only part of LI left. Nassau and a big part of Suffolk is just an extension of Queens.
