I am going on vacation for two weeks. I need to park my car at JFK long term parking. Not sure the fee on that. I am trying to google that.

Just wondering if any of you did some thing different to save money on parking. Did you guys try outside of JFK airport.
is it safe, is not like I have very expensive car but I like to have my car back when I come back.

Any idea?

You can definitely get cheaper long term in the area you just have to deal with a tram to the terminal and back. Typically I just park at the official long term at lefferts and just take the air train.

there are a few options near the airport (like avistar) that charge around $15-$18 a day . Beware of added fees (10.375 percent NYC parking tax and some other ridiculous fee that make the total around 16%). Anything over three hours is considered a full day charge.
For a two week trip you may want to consider a limo service if you don't use LIRR/AirTrain . probably costs about the same but less stress.

I just flew out of JFK and it's $33 a day to park there! Don't know about the offsite lots. Happy to get back to $6/day parking!

A car service would be a wash and probably a lot more pleasant.

I can't believe it's $33 per day at JFK airport. Wow. that's very expensive for me.

I just did a search for Long Term Parking JFK and got all kinds of responses https://www.way.com/parkings/Jamaica...ntent=Discount

There seems to be multiple options average <$10.00 a day with a shuttle to the aiport. Do you own search and decide which you think is best for you. According to the Port Authority web site JFK International Airport Rates & Information Short Term Parking is $33 per day, Long Term Parking is $18 for the first day and each full day after but you will be charged in $6 increments every 8 hours.

I used one of the offsite lots, that are right near the airport. 24/7 security, free shuttle bus. to the terminals and back.

Thanks Yankeee. I also did the search and found the same. I am begging my friend to drop me at the airport now. My flight is at 10 PM in the night. I can save few hundred dollar more and enjoy my vacation. :-)

Good luck, if its just you could you take the train/rail to the airport? Your flight is late enough that you could go after dinner and make it in enough time you didn't mention where you are traveling from.
