Looking to find a local, reputable bulldog breeder. Someone who has many years of experience, and is doing this for the love of the breed, not for the love of money.

If you are familiar with a breeder, would you kindly message me their info.

Thanks so much!

Adopt from a rescue or (preferably) a kill shelter, don't buy a dog when there are countless dogs on "death row" for no good reason.

Have you checked the Bulldog Club of America? They will have a breeders directory. I would start there.

I did. I have sent e-mails for breeder referrals. I am hoping to her back from them soon.

Thanks...

I agree with s13! Millions of animals are euthanized on a daily basis. Many are pure breeds!
Here's a Bulldog Rescue group. LONG ISLAND BULLDOG RESCUE

I dont disagree with you because there are a ton of great dogs in shelters...but lets face it...you cant save all the mongrels..some people want a purebred.

No one wants to see a dog put down but that is inevitable considering how many dogs are out there.

Ignoring that there are no legitimate reasons to go with a purebreed over a mutt, there's no shortage of purebred dogs in shelters, and I also mentioned rescues which typically specialize in a particular breed.

Again you're right but lots of people dont want to hunt down purebreds in a shelter...its a crap shoot to find a purebred because they are put down as quickly as a mutt.

But lets always remember..they are just animals..and we cant save them all.

There are many PURE BREED Rescue Groups. I'd NEVER use my money to buy an expensive pure breed when there are simply so many animals in need of homes.

Once again - there are Breed Specific Rescue groups. I already posted the Long Island Bull Dog Rescue group. So no need to 'hunt down purebreeds in a shelter'.
And if the OP went to a Shelter, maybe they'd fall in love with some of the adorable pets in need of homes.
