Hi I will be moving to lexington in February from California and am looking for apartments that are pit bull friendly. I have a 2 year old staffordshire terrier who is canine good citizenship registered. Any tips on where to look would be welcomed. I would prefer more towards the county or southern lexington but I'm more interested in a safe place for both me and her to live. Thanks!

3099 Kirklevington Drive ,but do not expect the life style you have become accustomed to , i.e air conditioning, might not happen.

and i got a letter from my land baron last week, it says" Dogs: if you are a dog owner PLEASE clean up--you get the drift.
but..we ask all residents to get involved and make Management aware of any resident not cleaning up after their pet.Simply take a picture and share(lol) with Management team.Confidential and all that, what a hoot, fine is $250.00 "

Hi!

The Southern Part of Lexington is great, I live there and love it. On the apartment sites you can press the pets button so it will filter... out no pet apartments. (You will have to check though, a few of the apartments allow pets, but no pit bulls.)
There are a quite a few dog parks in Lexington, some apartments have small dog parks of their own, usually nothing to write home about though.

I had to go around and ask people about breed restrictions as the first question...had to turn around and walk out of many places. I can only speak for where I live now. I have a bullie breed and live at Chinoe Creek. Other breeds I've seen at these apartments include Great Danes, Great Pyrenese, St. Bernard, American Bully (look that one up if need be), APBT, German Shepard, Husky... So while it may say breed restrictions...not really. I love where I live.

Those look like nice apartments too, lots of trees and stuff around(yet next door to Krogers) and I think they are right close to the arboretum also.

I know this is old as hell, but did you ever find any pit bull friendly places? My husband and I are looking to get a pitbull puppy and was wondering if you ever had any luck? Thanks in advance
