Has anyone in Alamogordo, LC or surrounding areas gotten solar recently, say within the last year to 18 months? Pushing the unlikely envelope a little further, has anyone gotten around 8kw solar during that period? We're looking at it. We have one estimate that seemed a little high, but it's ballpark for NM average. However, NM average isn't southern NM average which may be higher or lower when ABQ and Santa Fe aren't calculated in. Also companies. We got a figure from NM Solar Group. They seem to have pretty good ratings, and certainly better than those guys that come knocking on the door and pushing their companies which sometimes have no ratings, poor ratings, new names for old companies, etc.
We are in Las Cruces and had solar installed earlier this year. We used Organ Mountain Solar and Electric. We got 8.51kw. They did not come knocking. We heard a lot of positive feedback in our area about the company. It went seamlessly! Signed contract in October 2021 and install was completed in February 2022.
Thanks for the info. I'll hold onto it. But we decided to delay solar for now until we get a couple of other expensive things done and we see exactly where we stand. Hopefully I'll get back to this in a month and maybe a couple of months. Having seen a couple of video reviews about them they look like a great company to work wtih.
I highly recommend Organ Mtn. Electric. Our system is 5.74 KW, installed last summer. Operation has been faultless since then, and we monitor our production and usage through a web page set up by the company.
Organ Mtn not only did the design and installation, they arranged city and utility inspections in a timely manner, and helped us get approved for a state tax rebate. They used REC brand panels, which are well rated in the industry.
When researching solar options I saw a lot of really bad customer reviews for some of the outfits working in New Mexico. Erus stood out as a company with horrible reviews.
Good luck!
