Hello, I'm looking at some subdivisions from a builder in the Knoxville Area called Smithbilt, I could not find their webpage. Any experience with them? Does anyone know the subdvisions Meadows of Millertown or Shannon Valley Farms ? Thank you.

Well, it appears that we're out of luck Caver.....not a lot of replies on this builder....but if you go to their website (google it and you will find it) it shows the type of houses they're building and it's impressive....one good thing is that they have a name to worry about because of those new subdivisions in West Knox they're building with prices from $300,000....I'm looking a place in the Carter Area that Smithbilt is developing called Carter Mill and Carter Ridge, it will save me about 10 miles each way driving when comparing to Meadows of Millertown....I really liked the prices and homes available at Meadows of Millertown though.....just a quick tip...I was reading something about flooding with intense rain in that subdvision, therefore, ask and check the home location.....

Default Average quality at a very good price

My wife and I bought a Smithbilt house in 2005. Their quality is by no means the best, although it is not shoddy, either. I would grade them a "C" in quality and a "B+" in value. All in all, we are happy with our purchase. However, when it comes time for the warranty work, they will do the cheap stuff quickly, but the expensive, more involved warranty work will require some aggressive prompting on your part.

The only Smithbilt I find using Google is a shed builder in Florida. What did you use for a search criteria?

This is what I get.

Smithbilt Inc smithbilt.com
4909 Ball Rd, Knoxville, 37931 - (865) 694-8582

The link leads to a builder of sheds. No houses that I can find.

Mbmouse can you leave this long enough to get a response? I'd appreciate it.

Tek

OK. This builder has two major developments, one is very large and kind of controversial because it's where before it was a beautiful farm.....anyway....the name of the subdvision is Shannon Valley Farm....if you google it you will find more info on this builder and a real state agency contact that will be able to give you more info.

The other builder that I found and actually I'm more interested into is called Landview Homes and it is also in the Knoxville Area.....Good luck on your search
