Hi,

This is so sad that I even have to ask this, but unfortunately this is the world we live in. So my question is, as an interracial couple would my husband and I have any negative encounters visiting New Haven KY. I have a permanent tan and My husband is German/Caucasian. He is coming in from Germany for Christmas and he loves trains. So as a Christmas present I would love to surprise him with dinner at the Dine by Rail restaurant in New Haven. But I have done a bit of research and found it is a very small town. I just do not want to drive a couple of hours then be meet with less than friendly service. We are both very open and friendly and love people in general, but again sadly I know there are still a few folks around that do not feel the same way.

Thanks for any input, and please, please, please be nice. I do not want to argue are read mean comments. We are seniors (as in old "er") (not in high school)

My only concern is it appears you only have a few choices. If you want a dinner may be only 1 choice. A long way to go just for pizza.

Better choice may be to check out KY Railroad Museum & see what they have going on.

Would be good to make reservations if you want to do train ride. Other items like Dinner in the Diner or Meals with Santa may be sold out for December.
