For those of you familiar with the LBL and Grand Rivers, The Iron Kettle has just been destroyed by fire. It is still burning as of this time. My wife received pictures from an lbl pals email list she belongs to. This was the type of buffet where everything is still on the stove when you get it yourself and it wasn't that expensive. I think I had lunch there last fall and it was $6.95. You can see raw video from the fire on wpsdtv.com . Also the news report about it. You'll have to use Explorer. Won't work with Firefox. Glad to hear they will rebuild!

They said they are going to rebuild it, with the money Pattie's and Bill's make that shouldn't be a problem.

This is true. I remember when it opened, I think back in the late 60s. There was a wooden box nailed to the wall, open side down. The sign beside it said beware of wild Australian bat. You took a look inside the box and there was a brick bat hanging there. Owner was saying he was going to rebuild while he was watching the fire. Love the food there!
