Many local cities, and even some counties, have the authority to impose what is called an "occupational tax" on those persons working within that particular jurisdiction. Although you might want to talk to a professional tax consultant to be sure, I do not believe that you can obtain a "refund" for any of this particular tax. You do not have to file a "local tax return" if that is your question. Your employer takes care of deducting the tax and paying it to the local taxing authority. Again, if this is a new concept to you, best talk to a tax person to find out for sure.
