I have always wondered this because the laws concerning it are so lax there. So there must be an easy going attitude about it? I have never been and was wondering what it was like up there.

KY has a split personality. There are lots of Bible thumpers and social conservatives, yet 3 of our biggest exports are marijuana (albeit illegal), Kentucky bourbon and thoroughbreds for horse racing. I have always found that interesting and hypocritical, and I'm a native.

I've been told 5 plants backyard grown are legal, coulda been determined as part of Woody Harrelson case.

My opinion, decriminalizing marijuanna will corner and isolate meth labs makin em easier to shut down. Otherwise focusing on tons of pot bein grown distracts drug enforcement resources from the more serious chemical stuff.

Just for reference 4 plants is a misdemeanor 5 would be a felony. This is true about isolating other drugs and it would also keep people away from those drugs by not causing marijuana users to have to associate with drug dealers. But thats a different story for a different day.

That is true but Ky seems to be very decriminalized. ALTHOUGH, I read anything to do with marijuana is a misdemeanor for the first offense as long as it is not a whole lot.(under 8oz. for poss. or sale under 5 plants for cultivation) but a second offense is a FELONY. This is a double edged sword. You could in theory be caught with a joint 2 times and be charged with a class d felony. Seems a little extreme. I doubt they would actually charge someone with a felony for that very small amount. Anybody know if they really do that?

I wasn't aware that Ky marijuana laws were particularly lax. Ky is kind of a hypocritical state in general. Here's my opinion on the recreational use of marijuana: Wheeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!

I tried that stuff in college and quickly realized it was not for me.
It made me good looking, intelligent, and irrestable to women! Oh, and the time I sat through 3 traffic lights watching the colors change while everyone else was honking...

Digger~
