Hello everyone, it has been awhile since my last posting on here. I hope and pray that you all have been safe and well. Let me update you on what has been going on this year. I have completed my organizational plan for a Christian Drug/Alcohol Regeneration Facility here in Jacksonville. We believe we have settled on a property in Mandarin for its proposed location. We are still working out details. God willing, by the end of the year we should be fully operational.

Meanwhile, in order to raise the proper funding and most importantly, awareness for the plight of the homeless and addicted, I have decided to embark on a journey from the Jacksonville Beach Pier to the Santa Monica Pier in California. The trip will consist of bicycling approximately 3800 miles. We are gonna take 6 months to complete this journey, stopping at major cities along the way to spread our message of hope! You will be able to follow along on our journey via Facebook and a specialized webpage currently in development.

Saved Life and the Ray of Hope Christian Fellowship (no, still not a 501C3) are ministries dedicated to bringing awareness to the public about the issues of chronic homelessness and christian recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction. My purpose for this journey is simple:

1. I want to challenge people to summon the courage to "live out loud" their faith in God by showing true Christian compassion and gentleness for the less fortunate of society. This is at the heart of living a "Saved Life"!

2. Encourage people to ask themselves, " Am I doing enough?"

3. I want to better understand the life of the homeless in America, and to see, firsthand, how their needs are being met.

4. To encourage Christians to "Live Out Loud" in whatever way that God is asking them too!

5. To learn personally what it means to depend on Christ and experience pure contentment and confidence in Him to guide me on this journey of awakening.

I need your encouragement. If we are indeed the Body of Christ, and Christ came for not the healthy, but the sick-we need to be fully present in the places where people are most broken. I have accepted this awesome calling from God, but cannot do it alone. I need help. I need your support. If you are ready to embark on the journey of a lifetime with me. I will do the peddling, you give me the motivation. Thank you all and Peace be with each one of you. Please leave me a comment or feedback and let me know what you this of this idea!

In His Name,

Jason J. Day

More than a year after your first post and still not a 501(c)3? Maybe hold off on the bicycle trip until you take care of the paperwork.

Where in Mandarin do you want to have your ministry?

He doesn't. He's nothing but a con artist. People, don't believe everything you hear.

Default We are being sponsored by the National Coalition for the Homeless

This journey is to be sponsored by the National Coalition for the Homeless, a national organization. All proceeds are to be directed to them. The monies will be dispersed to local organizations in the cities we stop at. We will not receive one red cent from this endeavor. The whole idea behind this is to raise awareness for the needy of America and promote Christian Recovery. I am sorry that people do not agree with my ideas. But, frankly I do not care what people think. God knows my heart, people that truly know me for sometime know my heart, and I know my heart! If I was not passionate about the homeless, why would I be willing to travel 3800 miles and spend 6 months of my life doing it? There is no monetary reward worth it! Not to me anyhow! Its about the journey!

Despite the criticism and opposition, we will proceed as planned on January 15th. When completed we may apply for our 501C3 here to do our works in Jacksonville. Maybe not. Only God knows what He has planned for me.

To answer your question HIF, we have looked at a Church building on Old St. Augustine Road. We have looked at several buildings in that area. And to respond to your other comment, we are a team of three people strong trying to organize a large scale ministry. I have spent over (4) years putting together this plan. I have devoted alot of hours researching, advocating, and fighting for this opportunity. I have not done this as a full time job HIF, that is why it has taken so long. I had just resumed work on this project last month after about a 6 month break. I was actually supposed to leave in August to do an internship in New York for college, but it did not pan out. I had spent most of 2009 working and attending college.

Currently, I spent at least 20 hours per week doing street ministry and another 40 hours researching and advocating, also trying to fit school work in there too and a PT job!. Ask the homeless of Downtown Jax or the Beaches who I am and what I do for them. Ask the people who I have took to drug treatment or brought them blankets cause they had none. Or the people who I have arranged to be placed at Sulzbacher or one of the other missions. Ask many of the service providers here in Jax who I am. They will tell you too!

To those who criticize me I ask, "What do you do for the needy?" People think this is a "con" or whatever. I know WHO YOU ARE, although I won't name names, trying to sabotage me and that is ok! You make your little profile on here to get your "digs" in on me! That is ok! Someday, the day of judgment will come! And you will have to answer for what you have done in this life, just as I will!

Talk is cheap! Actions are what count the most. When I travel 3,800 miles for what I believe in. People will have no choice but to take notice. Actions are what prove the validity of this cause. I hope I raise millions for the NCH, but if I don't, that is fine too! To me, it is about the journey. It is about doing something for someone else that my accusers are too scared to do because they are too busy worrying about themselves.

I shall always face criticism, I expect it! It is nothing new to me because I live "outside the box"! I have ideas that people think are off the wall and strange. But, guess what, so did Jesus Christ! The most criticized and persecuted man in history!

***BTW...Bewildered01...Her name is Kathy...She rents a house in Mandarin in which she in turns rents rooms to people. She is the lady who I used to rent from, because i thought it would be quiet and serene for me to continue my work and studies, until recently (Yesterday), note she just happened to create an account on City Data yesterday. She is not happy about the terms I left on! I live a very drama-free life and intent on keeping it that way! Bottom Line! Either way, Kathy, the show will go on! So, get your "digs" in now! Childish, just like I am having to explain myself is childish! Therefore, I am done with it. People can believe what they may, that is their right! Actions speak louder than words!***

He's right about one thing here. Yes, I am Kathy. Did he rent from me? No. Rent means paying money. He was with me for two weeks and never paid a dime. I got one excuse after another as to why he could not pay rent. I went as far as to talk to his so called boss, who imformed me that he was never hired. He ate my food, drank my soda and smoked my cigarettes. As far as not likeing the terms in which he left??? That's a joke, I asked him to leave. I can only listen to so many blatent lies. He conned some people in Orange Park into giving him a laptop computer. He used the Ministry name of Saved Life Ministries program, I have a copy of the form he used. He put his cell phone number on this form. He claimed this laptop was a "donation" and will be used for Minsitry purposes. He sat at my dining room table and every time I passed by he was either looking at the Jag game or playing poker on it. I have witnesses to this. I am not attacking him or his purpose. I am trying to open the eyes of people who may think he is actually trying to do some good here. After placing my first post on here I received a harrassment phone call from him full of threats and more empty promises of paying his due rent. Does this sound like a true "minister" to you? I don't want to get in a public fight or any other kind of fight with him. I just want him out of my life.

Default Ignorance is the greatest sin!

The letter I sent Kerry was entitled "Saved Life" because that is the name of the INITIATIVE. All the donations that I have accepted (1 Laptop) are covered by another organization (NCH) under their 501C3 because they are the non profit sponsor covering me, I do not have 501C3 status. Dont need it until this ministry (ROHCF) is up and running! They simply wanted something stating I was retaining possession and they would get a receipt before tax time from NCH! I wrote a simple letter to her and emailed it! I looked up several files online (google search/reciept letter templates) and chose against the receipt format because it was not a receipt I was sending her! I needed a basic and professional template. The people who donated it understand this, why don't you! Oh, because you don't know what you are talking about! You forgot to mention that it was 2 pieces of pizza and one soda in two weeks! PETTY! PETTY! PETTY!

As far as the rent, I called you yesterday afternoon and mentioned that I was at work. You said, "Fine!" It is a four hour return bus ride from the beaches to mandarin and back. You know this! I would have never made it there and back to the beach! I called this morning and agreed to come today and pay you the rent. THEN I saw your post! I became angry when you slandered me and this cause! You posted your little forum right after I got off the phone with you last night! This cause has nothing to do with an arrangement between us that you have twisted to suit your own needs and perception.

Cause I assume, you are a 501c3 and non profit specialist. You seem to think you are, which is simply lack of understanding! I do not need a 501C3 if I am not accepting donations for a store or any other cause and not giving a reciept! People can give me anything they want. I can accept it, but cannot issue a reciept! I am not accepting donations for anything! Don't need them! Everything for this mission trip is supplied by NCH and their supporting agencies and several other organizations here in Jacksonville! Including a popular radio station! They believe in me and so do alot of other people! This latest forum is about awareness for the cause. I tried the donation thing with a pallet drive last year and it blew up in my face. Its about awareness! Pure and simple!

I am not gonna fight over this issue. I am grown! Like I said, "Actions speak louder than words. And you are full of misunderstanding and blatant lies because you are mad that I did not have the rent when you wanted it, after it was agreed that I would pay it when I got paid. I work several part time jobs to keep my head above water and give me the free time to work on this cause. Some moving, some landscaping, some labor, whatever. I was supposed to get a check on the 21st from college, if you must know. I also recieve a monthly check from the VA. It didn't come on the 21st as I expected! Got it yesterday! I rented a room from you, did not know I had to disclose every detail of my personal life to you. It is none of your business! And I didn't think you were that way! My mistake!

I am not judging you! That is not my job! Best wishes Kathy! My show will go on! Slander cannot stop it! I am done with it and I may file a slander suit with my attorney once I consult with him next week! I will pay you the money you are entitled as rent because that is the right thing to do. Other than that, I will not argue with you anymore! I simply made a bad decision getting involved into an agreement with you. Lesson learned. God knows the truth! It does not matter what you try to get people to believe, the PROOF is in the ACTIONS. For your one slander, I have 100 people who can verify my character and good deeds for this community, the homeless, and this cause! Including several directors in Tallahassee. It is finished!

I can see, that since you are replying to blogs on the donated lap top, you are clearly on your way here to pay your overdue rent. Keep blabbing, it is showing your true self. I like how you say, "My show will go on". That's exactly what it is, a show. File your slander suit, I look forward to it.

Oh yeah, this slander coming from a proclaimed and admitted agnostic. I knew that it had to be YOU. No one else can say anything bad about me. I have paid my debts when I got sober and chose to live a "Saved Life". LOL! Hypocrisy only does go so far! All this over $250 that I AGREED TO PAY (but didn't suit your timetable that YOU agreed on, you wanted it yesterday and I couldn't get there, had to work), 2 pieces of pizza, a 2 liter of Pepsi (which I bought (3) 2 liters the very next day),........ Amazing! Unbelievable is the better word!

Now you are attacking the Agnostic religion. Or are you going to edit that posting too? It doesn't matter, I have all the originals copied onto my computer.

Anyhow, after several attempts to call you and make arrangements to come and pay rent due today! I am done with it! If you want your rent money, you can contact me or whatever you choose to do! I have tried to no avail and will not waste any more energy on your game. I have wasted too much time now! I have spoken with my attorney and he will be in touch after the holidays! I will not stand for this slander and won't tolerate it! We will see what some of your other tenants have to say about the similar situations they have had with you! You have jokingly told me a few stories yourself! That is why I left, because you crossed the line and you know it! The insurance thing with your tenant, your little furniture scam, your scamming people online to buy stuff that is harmful for them! The list goes on and on! Anyhow, I am done with it! The damage is done! Call me when you have made arrangements to meet and I can pay you what I owe you because I am a man of my word! Thank you and God Bless!
