Only a couple of weeks back, ViverLibre started a thread on The City of Jackson's Request for Proposals, for another redundant project for the accommodation of the throngs of nonexistent tourists flocking to Downtown Jacktown. Renderings of the latest scheme, included an outdoor theatre. I suggested that this would be a wonderful thing, because a free outdoor picture show would provide entertainment for the mentally ill homeless dumped Downtown by the state's mental institutions.

Well, right in front of Jackson's fabled Mayflower Cafe, here's an example of what happens when the newly-dumped are left to their own devices, and have to entertain themselves: Jackson Jambalaya: The Naked News, Capitol Street Edition

Not only did this strapping fella entertain himself, he entertained Kingfish, and other patrons of the Mayflower (the center for the REAL power in the state: those making the clandestine deals - kickbacks & Comeback Sauce https://www.nytimes.com/2014/01/08/d...ever-left.html - deals which make Mississippi Number One in yet another category: Most Corrupt State Mississippi, America's most corrupt state, defends itself | Fortune). So truly, in my humble opinion, if the guy had to flop-around anywhere, he picked the right spot. Only fittin'...

Dang it, the one day I'm out of town and all the excitement happens! I guess I've seen enough homeless relieving themselves in public to make up for this missed viewing opportunity.

I'm not sure you missed much. We just watched that "extra-explicit" YouTube video, to which Kingfish had linked, and I'm here to tell you that the nekkidity was not particularly impressive. Couldn't see a thing...

So really, even if there was blurring or pixellation involved, it wouldn't have made much difference. Forget my comment about "flopping-around". 'Jiggling', even, would have been an exaggeration, in this case.

And "jumping rope" seems to have been an exaggeration, too. He did have a jump rope, but he was doing rope tricks with it, sort of like rodeo guys do - or at least that's what he seemed to be trying to do.

But if I'd been there, I would NOT have called the popo on him. This was the most exciting thing to happen downtown, since they found the headless body. He deserved tips, for such an excellent street performance.
