All the 6 words you have written here, whether in your ancient language or in Arabic, include Qaf rather than K. Even "baqarah" has qaf (q) in it, and none have K in it. Therefore, there was no need for you to write Koran rather than Qur'an or Quran. So stop giving us all this crap about Qri = Qriana - Qruna. All begin with Qaf rather than the English equivalent K. The alphabet in your ancient language and Arabic is the same in term of inclusion of Qaf. There is no excuse for you not to write Qur'an or Quran.
This is an English forum on Islam, therefore the Anglicized 'Koran' should prevail.
I believe mahasn sawresho is trying to be technically precise to align with the fact that this is a forum in English and not Arabic. Besides he is not a Muslim, thus do not have reverence for the Quran.
So I don't see why there should be an issue.
Now if I am a Greek in a forum in French, the French word for Quran, i.e. 'Coran' should prevail rather than Arabic dominated sounding Quran or the Greek term for it.
I am not saying we should not use the term 'Quran' but I am expressing in term of what is technically right.
At the end of the day, its 'a rose by any name ... .'

Actually this is the Islamic forum and the primary purpose is to clarify the beliefs of Muslims to each other and to clarify what we as Muslims actually believe to Non-Muslim.
I think it is pertinent and within the purpose of this forum to clarify that to Muslims Qur'an is closer to the actaual pronunciation than Koran is. Just as Muslim is more accurate than Moslem pr Mozlem.

There is no excuse to use "Koran" in English. Even in English, it is the Quran.

No point in speaking for him when he has already made it clear that it was because of his "ancient language" (rather than English). He has further complicated his view by claiming in his last post that he just copied it from the 'net'. It would have been better and honest for him not to give excuse of his "ancient language" which he quoted, and I could read, has Q (Qaf) and not K in any of those words. He has been caught being too clever even for himself, to say the least!

That is not the reason given by him. We already know that none of the unbelievers will have reverence for the Qur'an. It doesn't mean they can call it by any name and by whatever they like on purpose.

Even in English, it is the Quran. Your argument is misplaced.
Even in French, there are 26 letter, including Q (Koo). It makes no sense for them to use C (Say) instead of Q.

I am not saying that you should not use Koran but using it deliberately instead of Quran, and then giving false reason for using it is not honesty.
