I know there is just about every chain restaurant you can imagine there. Can someone recommend a good privately owned family restaurant? Good food, nice atmosphere?Does good business? I am relocating and my back up occupation has always been as a waitress. I prefer working at individually owned establishments more so than chains.

Omelletes on West Jefferson is locally owned. It's not fancy but has good food. They own another one near Maple Crest Plaza but I can't think of the name of it. There are two new locally owned places in Forest Park Shopping Center on highway 22 West. It is across from St. Joe Hospital. One is a nice steak place with good food & tablecloths. The new Whiskey Creek Grill is a chain but new to this area. The franchise owner is local & has some Dairy Queens. A good manager. Will let you know if I can think of anything else.
