Interesting - so the outflux is weighted toward the last couple of years the most. Thanks for sharing.

Funny, I do think IL will level out - I'm hearing more chatter that there is some reverse trends starting to happen. I guess we'll see here in 2-3 years.

The Quad cities area is nice to go to but there are quieter places to live that are still a healthy mix of red and blue. Varying shades of purple for lack of a better term. Stay away from Chicago. We live 45 miles east of the Quad Cities and have no problem whatsoever being more blue than red. Our area us solidly purple. Population of 15k surrounded by very rural communities or 2k+. The Quad Cities offers a lot and I'm sure has some very nice neighborhoods, but that price range won't put you in one. But out in my neck of the cornfields you might find something more affordable but still in driving distance to the QCA.
