Hi folks!
can someone suggest a getaway for 2-4 days, reasonably priced and within, say 5 hours worth of a drive from Schaumburg area?
Not a night life people, we're glampers

I think i'd rather poke me eye out than go to Wisconsin Dells.
looking for a spot kind of off a beaten path, if possible.

Ultimate dream is to find a cabin by a lake, but i'm sure that's out of the "reasonably priced" territory.

thank you in advance!

Which kinds of places are you open to? A cabin in the woods would probably be something in Wisconsin or Michigan, but I'm not sure if you are open to small towns, medium-sized cities, or places that are not in the woods.

What is your idea of reasonably priced, cost per night? We can go from there.

Any of the Western Michigan coastal towns, Hoffmaster state park is particularly nice for camping. Grand Haven has good camping options too.
