There ARE legitimate alternatives to the corrupt/incompetent politicians in Illinois. You have to be smart enough to ignore the TV ads for dummies and find the real story on your own. Once you find the real story it helps A LOT to help spread the word.

If you do these things we can get Blago O_U_T -- if not we are stuck with him. His alliance with Emil Jones is pure majesty -- locks up that vital voting block of urban dwellers that go to churches where people shout like crazy. I don't think anybody this side on Bill Clinton is that brilliant...

Interesting that this article tells you the state is paying less than 1/2 for some health care and don't tell you they are more than 60 days late paying for what they do cover. This is causing some providers to close. Ask the people in Blue Island.Outlook grim for Blue Island hospital :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Health News (http://www.suntimes.com/lifestyles/health/875048,CST-NWS-hosp03.article - broken link)

I hate it that our vets make so many sacrifices only to be treated like shiate. Waiting lists to be treated. Understaffing. I know..I know...there are alot of problems, but paying for illegal's "benefits" over vets is a major pet peeve with me.

For one, look at all the have nots collecting checks and not paying taxes and you got those people who come over the border and take jobs and not pay taxes, instead they give away to their families south of the border.

Yea we are in very bad shape and weird is we have a metro with over 10 million people too that can't help the situation.

And why would Cal be broke?

They got silicon valley which makes more money and jobs than anything on earth?

That state has more rich people in it so that should help but rich people don't pay more in taxes so not a.

There's a difference between talking about local politics and broad and abstract political ideals. The former is fine in this forum; the latter should stay in the politics forum.

What makes California so attractive to entreprenuers? I think if Illinois is suppose to lead the way according to Blago. Than he should remove as much of states taxes and public officials. that will be leading the way. Something has to be done though before it is too late and we have the California situation except for the scientists and entreprenuers.
