Newly unemployed and new to forum.

Waiting to receive benefit. Will be the max benefit.

May have an opportunity soon to do a few days of 1099 consulting work once in a blue moon. The amount I would get paid for those few days of work would exceed my weekly benefit amount. It's good money but not steady.

How would that affect my unemployment claim? Would I just not get paid for that week or would I loose my complete claim?

Located in IL.

You would lose benefits for that week but extend your benefits. You get 26 weeks of benefits per year. So your benefits would last longer.
