Very nice Steven! Was that at the forest preserve off of Town Hall Rd? I believe its called "Campton Trails FP" or something like that? If so, thats where I went a few weekends and got alot of my prairie photos. I had no idea that place was so big! I started hiking the trail from the horse-trailer parking lot and next thing I know I hiked about 2-3 miles.

Thanks, Steve-o! Yep, I took that picture at the Campton Nature Trails off of Town Hall Rd. It's a quiet place with endless opportunities for some great outdoor photography. I usually walk all the way to the creek and always see a few American Goldfinch.

Very nice! I take the big looping trail, goes almost all the way back to LaFox Road. Its quite a hike, but the prairie is pristine back there.

A stretch along the Long Prairie Trail near the hamlet of Caledonia in northern Boone County. Pic was taken October 24, 2009 (a pleasant almost-70-degree day).

These pictures make me miss it. I've only been once in the last 5 years, but spent a lot of my youth in Il.

I'm definitely coming back.
