Is that a bird or duck in that tree branch? Sorry my eyes are old, lol. As hot as it is here, wow that ice and snow look appealing! Great shots

Ha ha ha, it is an eagle. They hang out at Starved Rock over the winter.

nah, I'm not a climber just a hiker.

In January I'll put on snowshoes or crampons, hike in there to see the frozen falls and hopefully see some eagles. The eagles hang out at the park because the lock and dam doesn't freeze. They can eat all winter on the stunned fish who surface downstream.

Default I have a question for steve

These are all really nice pictures, and I have been wondering how people are able to focus on one object, and leave everything else blurry. Steve-o, I noticed you do that alot in you're pictures. Can you please explain it to me?
