It's disturbing to me that a young woman in urgent need of medical care, the type of care the article states cannot be given to her in her home country, is getting dragged through the system for fear (whether justified or not) that she might attempt to just stay here.

What's more disturbing to me is the comments left by people who allegedly "read" the article.

The continued and extensive abuse of a generous immigration system is what has led to this girl's difficulty. I think it's a damned shame that it's happening, but let's at least put the blame where it belongs, in the laps of the umpteen million illegal aliens currently in our nation.

I hope this girl gets her surgery DESPITE all the problems her fellow countrymen and others have caused her.
