Hi! Me and my boyfriend are currently residing in Sacramento, CA (hate it here) and are originally from Southeast Alaska (better, but still not grand). He's currently finishing up schooling to become a licensed mechanic and I'm taking distance classes to get an Associates Degree.

After I finish off my associates, I want to move on to a Bachelors degree in either fine arts or visual communications. I've been considering both University of Idaho in Moscow (have a couple friends there, they like it) and Idaho State University in Pocatello. They both seem to offer what i'm looking for (isu a little more but this isn't just about me)

Basically what were looking for is a town where he can get a mechanics job (i don't really have any qualifications so i'll prolly end up getting a job at the local starbucks) and where we can live happily and make some new friends around our age while still enjoying our youth. Which city is best. we can handle the cold and the heat. We can also handle small town and big city. Help?

Pocatello is about twice as big as Moscow, so there will probably be more mechanic jobs available there. Moscow is pretty much a University town, so it's a bigger party central.
Both tend to be kind of foggy in the winter- Moscow gets more moisture, and Poky is in the bottom of a hole, surrounded by hills. The winters are colder in Poky, and the summers are about equal.

I like them both. Went to school at the U of I many years ago, and live close to Pocatello.
