I've been following a website for a while, and I thought I'd share it with you: the home page of local NID painter Robert Bissett. He used to have a "painting a day" blog, and all his themes were from around Sandpoint. Now I think he posts occasionally, but all his artwork is here:

Juts follow the links on the website to more paintings. There are some really good ones (if you like that kind of stuff! Which I do) from all over Bonner and Boundary County. Enjoy!

I love finding out about local artists. One of them, Janene Grende, is a friend of mine. She's a native Idahoan who lives in Sandpoint. Her work is in galleries all over the country (a lot in CDA),. She's a super lady.

Isn't she the one who did the Sandpoint Festival poster a few years ago? Beautiful silk paintings! I wouldn't mind picking one up next time we're "back home" in Sandpoint.

I guess I should have called the thread "North Idaho Artists"! Maybe Sage can edit the title for me? It would be fun to see more info about local artists. Over in Hope they have a little gallery with local artists, but I don't know if they have a webpage.

Wow, Fish, that's gorgeous!!! How cool--hope you'll share more of your work here. So interesting to see artistic talents emerge that we didn't know about! Thanks, Sage, for renaming the thread!

That looks incredible Fisherman!!! Very nice work!

There is a young gal that does really nice metal sculpture in CdA.. Her name escapes me right now though... Her stuff can be seen around town during the Ironman comp.. Nothing cooler than a pretty girl in welding garb..Ha!!

I found a website with NID artists, and links to their own websites:
http://www.artsalliance.info/cgi-scr...e=Galleries.db

Out of all the artists on that website it's really only Karen Robinson, aside from Bissett, who does local landscapes:

Take a look at some of the results of the Scotchman Peaks Plein Air Paint-Outs (Sept. and July 2009) here! Many are sold by now, but some of them were still on display at the Hope Market Gallery in August.

These artists have their own websites:
