This house is more like what I'm looking for. The aerial photo seems to show a paved road. It has well and septic. It has not been subjected to an HGTV inspired "granite and stainless uber alles" "facelift".

Thanks to NW Crow for pointing it out. Zillow also sent me a link on their own.

That looks like an interesting property. Worth a visit maybe to see if that is a paved road and who maintains it, since it almost looks like a private road to that house. Nice option to explore.

I agree with ejisme--take a weekend drive over to Orofino and take a look for yourself. Ask the realtor to meet you there, don't go exploring up that driveway on your own (IMO). See if you can line up 2-3 other places for the realtor to show you along the Clearwater River--and if The Edge restaurant in Orofino is still open, have dinner on the patio overlooking the river!
