Was hoping we were done with snow since it's spring now but it sure is snowing heavily today. It should all melt though. Time to take the winter tires off the car and take the chains of the tractor.

Yes. More snow. Quite a bit of it.

I wouldn't expect snow to be over before May. And even then, it can still snow in May and June if Mother Nature is in a snow mood.

On March 6th, 1978 I accepted a job offer in CDA.

As I was talking to the person I asked about the weather there that day. I was just outside of Las Vegas. It was 70 degrees in CDA that day. I thought it to be "normal".

On Memorial Day, I had a fire in the fireplace. On July 4th, I had a fire in the fireplace. On Labor Day, I had a fire in the fireplace.

That winter, CDA Lake froze over. About 1/3 or the homes froze up.....there were garden hoses running from one house to another until late spring.

The following winter....it was 55 degrees on Christmas Day.

^ This sounds glorious! We cannot wait to move up here. I’d take that over Texas heat 24/7/365. I lived in San Antonio one year in the late 90s and it was 100 degrees F in February. I’ve seen Christmas temps in DFW reach 90. Yea, it’s a sweat box down here and no manner of a cold snap here or there makes up for it. Haha.

April 8 2021, and it is snowing this morning.

It probably won't stick because it is above freezing outside, but it is still below freezing each night. I know because I am waiting to get some plants out of my garage and into the ground.

Just rain here on the Rathdrum Prairie. A bit of snow on the hills around us. It'll be gone soon. We turned on our water last week, but as you said, temps get down into the low 30's at night. I'm waiting until that stops so that I can bring out my Roman statues and Medici fountain, (they are not supposed to be outside in freezing temperatures).

There was about 5" of snowfall here in I.F. yesterday from early morning to around 11 a.m.
The wind woke me up in the night when the front blew in. I expected to see rain when I finally awoke, but what I got was winter wonderland and 20º!

Both gone by early afternoon. Winter wonderland isn't bad at all when it only lasts for a few hours. That long enough to enjoy it, and short enough that it doesn't become discouraging.

It discouraged my dog, though. He hates getting wet, and hates getting snowed on even worse.

Good plan to hold off on the statuary display, Volo... I would give the season a few more weeks before I would set them out.

It's like my eccentric ancestor once wrote:

I don't want to live in Alaska
And be frozen to the bone.

I'd much rather live in Idaho
And be frozen to the bone!

Can I be in either place and be frozen to the bone?
