I am a single 58 year old woman looking to move from California to the Idaho pan handle area. I am very interested in Cour De Lane. I want to rent and then maybe buy a home. I would really appreciate any advice at all about everything I should know or consider.
Thanks so much!

tell us more about yourself: goals, perspectives, what you seek, your experiences in living, where from in CA. NID and CDA offer the full range.

Rentals are scarce and high priced. You will have to be well qualified in order to obtain a rental.

Weather is cold and gray in the winter. Days are short. There is lots of fog close to the lake.

Other than that, without knowing anything about you or your requirements, it is difficult to guess what you are hoping to find out about

As mentioned, you've got to be much more specific about your wants/needs before we can give you good input.
What can you afford?
Do you have specific health needs?
Do you have pets?
Do you drive? 4wd/awd?
Do you have experience with heavy snowfall?

These things can help us guide you.
Example: If you can't afford rent in CDA proper perhaps you can get by in Rathdrum/Athol/Spirit Lake. These outlying areas have certain things to consider also. Distance to healthcare, snowfall/maintenance etc.
